This influencer listed a few ways I could reduce my global footprint.
Since then I have changed a few things in my life to reduce my carbon footprint. I have made my home colder, eaten less meat, cycled to work, driven less, shared car journeys and used green transport.
In reality, nothing really changes as I still drink wine and beer, eat cheese and exercise.đ

Last summer I went to a local music festival and someone was talking about the carbon footprint of art.
But I had never thought about the carbon footprint of art before, and it really came to my mind with the U2 concert series that started at The Sphere in Las Vegas.

The visuals of the concert are amazing. But it made me think again about the carbon footprint of art. So I decided to get an average idea of the carbon emissions of the U2 concert from the travel of the attendees.

When I compared this with the annual CO2 emissions of some small countries, I found that the emissions from the U2 concert trip were a big number. For example, for a small country with annual emissions of less than 5 million tonnes of CO2, the emissions from the U2 concert trip is about 2% (2.29%) of that country's annual emissions.

This made me realise that big events like concerts also have a big carbon footprint. It's not just our daily activities that contribute to carbon emissions, but also the way we enjoy entertainment and the arts.

Please help me check if these calculations are correct. I hope this will help me to better understand the carbon footprint of the arts.

Also, how can we, as consumers of art and entertainment, contribute to reducing the carbon footprint associated with these events? I'd love to hear your thoughts

Using an AI to calculate and write this post, I used this formula to estimate the carbon emissions from attendee travel,

Total

calculations are based on averages and assumptions and actual emissions
may vary. A more accurate analysis would require detailed data on
attendee travel and carbon offsetting by event organisers. However, this
exercise sheds light on the environmental impact of major events and
invites further discussion on green entertainment.

Text written with the help of ChatGPT, Deepl write and images generated by openart.ai
Sources:
- Worldometers.info - co2-emissions-by-country
- Youtube: search u2+live+sphere+las+vegas

Franck Depierrehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06446926577853523891noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7965683998976198186.post-69269082350906912362020-01-14T23:29:00.003+01:002023-05-05T20:17:54.339+02:00Lancement de ProductTank Lyon

Mise Ă jour 05/05/2023 : Le COVID aura tuĂ© ma motivation dâessayer de relancer ce meetup. Follow them, watch their contents, the best Product Management ideas are there.

Each time someone new in our PM field ask me about where to start, I have too many things in my mind to propose a simple answer. Each time, I tell me, if I tell them the truth, they may say: this is a too difficult position.

So, the best way, may be to show them a funny video with the PM core principles: 20 Years of Product Management in 25 Minutes by Dave Wascha.
Enjoy
If you are convinced too and want to move further, please join us at the end of august, for a lot of open discussions and fun.

Things are moving forward in the ALE 2016 organisation. Already, a great diversity of people answer to our call as shown below, but we need more.

<span id="docs-internal-guid-fdc50992-2de9-4a95-673a-501fada90b4f" style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: "arial"; font-size: 14.666666666666666px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">

Yes the ALE 2016 will be great as it has always been since 2011 in Berlin.
For those who do not know about the yearly ALE event, please find below a few tips.

What is it?
If you do not know yet about the Agile Lean Europe event, here a few tips.

ALE is a event for practitioners, meaning people who already practice agile methodologies like developers, modern CEO, teachers, leaders, etc.

Sharing ideas and solving problems are the ALE mains goals: people can propose topics where they share their experience, other can ask to solve a problem the canât alone

The event formats helps the participants to share, propose more than an usual well define listening to speakers chosen by the event organisers

Most of the program will be defined during the conference because the good topics are those who interest the participants. So we will have a big paper board and at the beginning of the day, those who have topics to propose will stick post-it on available session slot. Multiple sessions will be run at the same time. No worries if you donât have a topic/question, let participate the session that interest you most.

<span id="docs-internal-guid-fdc50992-2deb-4292-3bf7-2d7f625c9759" style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: "arial"; font-size: 14.666666666666666px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">

How to plan your participation?
If you didnât register yet, please go to the ALE2016 website and click on âTicketâ at the upper right. Then proceed as usual online.
We recommend the hotel Ibis Styles Paris Massena on Booking.com regarding the price and the proximity to the event venue.

Kids and Spouse program
I will be be part to the program dedicated to those who are coming with the participants. If your husband or wife will participate to ALE and you want to be there with your family, please join us.
Second version.

This is the end of a beautiful summer, and also one of the warmer recorded in France. Iâm continuing my journey in the product management world and today Iâm living in the product marketing one too.
I will blog about this later.

During this first half of this year, I read several articles on big data and started to understand how important the data science discipline is. Being able to define a direction/goal to search, collecting the proper data, then using a collection of techniques to extract something others canât see - it sounds like magic.

Also, when I listened to the Udacity Linear Disgression podcast episode âHunting the Higgsâ, I understood people with these skills can be better at solving a problem than the domain experts themselves. Katie Malone explained that in a competition to solve a particle physics problem, the best results came from machine learning people.

Then I read the article about Zenefit on the vision mobile website:
âZenefits is an insurance company that offers free SaaS services to acquire customers. SaaS requires low-cost low-touch sales and so Zenefits profits on the delta between the customer acquisition cost (CACs) in the HR and SaaS industries. Of course, Zenefits creates a captive audience which it then can resell into more insurance services and higher profits.â

This is absolutely disruptive from a business point of view and from a privacy point of view, you can understand the problems that will emerge. Companies may provide free services only to gather data to be used for a profitable business.

Based on these considerations, I decided at least to get a better understanding of the domain. So, I used a common scenario of those who want to learn quickly: I subscribed to the best tweeters in this domain and after two weeks, I understood how wide this domain was.
So the only solution was to find a network of specialists and passionate people.
After a conversation with Franck V. on twitter, we decided to launch a group in Lyon. How surprised we were, when 30 people came for the for the first meetup.
So, I donât know how much energy I will be able to put into learning this domain. But at least, I know I will find this new community stimulating.

If you are in the Lyon area, and want to learn this discipline or to share your experience with other experts, please join us. The group is named Lyon Data Science.

After 10 years inside the walls, Iâm moving outside!!

Time is running and I have been working in the software world for 13 years and promoting the âsoftware agile thingâ in my area, for 6 years. Today, I need to step back. As my professional life has moved from R&D management to Product Marketing Management, my professional focus has shifted and I need to improve my skills in this area.

Iâm writing this article because I would like to thank my growing network and make sure you wonât be surprised by my new area of interest, that could be outside of your own.

I imagine a few of you, shaking your heads, uttering a pfff of disappointment and saying: Franck and his books, his constant learning curve. For what?

This is really simple: Without a sense of progress, I get bored in my professional activity.

In 2009, for the first time since beginning in this sofware development world, I had a sense of accomplishment. As Agile was the main change we had implemented, I considered promoting it around me. Coincidentally, the Club Agile Rhone Alpes Grenoble sent out a call to set up events with this focus in Lyon.
The first year was really difficult: Without network and money we had to prepare the content ourselves and the popularity was really low. Then, others joined, our marketing skills improved and we benefited from the growing hype around agile methodologies.

At the end of 2010, the local Java User Group proposed we build our own conference. For the last four years, we have had a yearly conference Mix-IT, where the content is a mix of all the disciplines for building great software products/services with human trust.

In 2011, I met the ALE network and participated to ALE 2011 organization. Everything has been different and accelerated from there. We tried to reproduce the effectiveness of the ALE unconference online with the ALE Hangout (xALEc), but even the contents was great, we never got a lot of attraction.

I would like to thank all of you, who are participating in agile events: you are awesome!!

Last year, my company was bought by an Airbus division. It was the end of a difficult journey. I had spent so much energy revamping two of our main products, making Agile transformations, defining the mandatory product improvements that it could have been a shock for me.

In fact before the acquisition, I had already moved to a program management position, then a product management one.

Entering the product marketing world is really interesting, because these last years, I have always felt my lack of understanding how our product could be improved in a world with a solid distribution network.

Consequently, I need to focus on these new responsibilities, to learn, to build a new network and to be closer to our partners and customers. As Iâm in charge of the new cloud services, I need to use the âCustomer Development principles/Lean Startupâ more. The Service Design and customers centricity ideas are mandatory too.

So, I will be less engage in the Agile world and hope all my efforts
and my willingness to share could have benefited not only me, but also others.

See you soon.
Franck.
When I read Nielsâs paper, I understood the collapse of craftsman-age creativity at the beginning of the industrial era, but I didnât connect it to the different objects I saw, touched and used in my life.

Last week, I visited a West African Museum in Lyon and I would not have expected this tour to open my mind to the different building ages.
While we were walking in the museum, the guide explained the objects exhibited and we understood most of the collection was composed of pieces bought from the end of 19th century to the mid 20th. The objects created by one tribe were totally different from objects sculpted by another. Also, the signification could be totally different from one tribe to another and also us. Those objects were considered as art by Western people at this time, but in fact were day-to-day objects made by craftsmen. The museum guide told us they are unable to gather further descriptions of the objectsâ usage and significance due the lack of knowledge of living people. The awareness of this culture has dramatically dropped the last 50 years due the new style of life and the plastic/chinese-product invasion.

Back home from the museum, I started to realise the shift that occurred in African culture had also occurred in mine. As the full shift happened earlier in Europe, most of the living generations have no awareness of it. Regarding objects built before the industrial age in our Western countries, I started looking for them in our habitat. Apart from a few pieces kept with love, most antique furniture, even pieces I used in my childhood, have been sold to other countries or thrown away to make room for more modern/industrial ones.

We have lost our creativity, preferring standardised furniture. We delegate the design to a few people and do not even think of challenging them. Wood and metal are not easy to model and we do not have the tools to work them anymore.
The software industry has tools made by experts for experts and there is no room for others. 3D printing will be used to copy object, but Iâm not sure it will help us to get back to creativity back.

How could we reverse this trend?
In the document âOrganize for complexityâ, Niels proposes organizational principles to adapt your firm to complexity. This documentâs maturity is the result of years of work, that you can find in his other online documents.
These ideas are part of a larger trend named âBeyond budgetingâ, that defines itself as movement âbeyond command-and-control toward a management model that is more empowered and adaptiveâ.
You can find real use cases, described by the International Center for Outperformance, among them the FAVI case (see slides below). Niels has interesting notes about this subject and I agree with him âFAVI seems like an antithesis to the French standardâ.
The French video above is feedback from François Zobrist, who made the FAVI transformation from a traditional to a Beyond Budgeting model, but sadly has no English subtitles.

---
Today, organisations could struggle to define a internal structure that fits current external economical and social constraints. Those active in domains which move at a slow pace, can handle change with a continuous-improvement mindset. But in most technological domains, the current managerial structure cannot bear the increasing creative/economical pace.

Our IT organisations found improvement principles in flowing, fast design and early validation principles (Agile, Devops, LeanStartup, etc.). However, from a high level management point of view, no principles are really adopted and implemented in the whole enterprise.
Last year, due to the #stoos movement, I rediscovered the âBeyond budgetingâ people (first met in ALE2011) and really appreciate the Beta Codex document âOrganize for Complexityâ.

I decided to translate it, after a call from Niels, but during the following months I was too busy and focused only on the âCommitment bookâ translation. A few months ago, Sylvain joined Pierre and me to finish the translation that you can find below.

This document is really heavy to read if you donât have any knowledge of management principles. So take the time to read it chapter by chapter to nourish your brain.
"The 18 minute "Connecting" documentary is an exploration of the future of Interaction Design and User Experience from some of the industry's thought leaders. As the role of software is catapulting forward, Interaction Design is seen to be not only increasing in importance dramatically, but also expected to play a leading role in shaping the coming "Internet of things." Ultimately, when the digital and physical worlds become one, humans along with technology are potentially on the path to becoming a "super organism" capable of influencing and enabling a broad spectrum of new behaviors in the world."

At the beginning of the second day, an energising passion could be felt and those who were in Berlin last year, understood that the ALEnetwork magic is repeatable.

I would like to thank all the organisers for this gift and hope others will follow their example.
A thousand tips, smiles, books, domains of knowledge to discover, etc. are now somewhere in my brain. Some of them will reemerge later, some are already digested. So here below are those currently on my mind.

People in action
ALE participant engagement is probably the most astonishing differentiator with other events.
During the full three days, at every moment, the attendees proposed, shared and enlightened workshops and sessions.
All of them are passionate, with different levels of knowledge. Most of them have an activity related to the ALEnetwork, like organising an event for their local community, running online projects, translating stuff, etc.
Many people attended the unconference during their holidays and paid with their own money.

Kids and Spouses

Last year, I was happy, but surprised, that the families came to the unconference. This year, with the kids, walking around, watching the keynotes, playing and finally giving us energy the last day, I must agree their presence makes the event different. During Arianaâs brilliant workshop, her daughter ran onto the stage, shouting âmamaâ. Her mother took her in her arms without stopping her explanations. Nobody really minded, it was just part of the whole atmosphere.

The Building and Barcelona

Being in one hotel with all the conference facilities is quite convenient, but an event needs its touch. The ALE2012 building, a former hospital, was beautiful and its magnificence inspired us. At night we were also continued sharing in the restaurants and bars of this great town.
Barcelona makes you feel at home and our peacefulness was partly related to this.

Program format
Conferences in the morning, open spaces in the afternoon, was the format used for the three days and it is really efficient. I would have liked to have more time to talk face to face with one person, but this was not easy while enjoying most of the conferences and open space sessions.

Learning curve
On Tuesday, I attended the core protocols session with Michele and Jim McCarthy. Those knowing the power of the core protocols, should understand how participants like me, who were discovering these tools, felt.
Over the next days, ALE2012âs diversity of subjects and people offered me a refreshing and mind storming moment.
The Open Space Software Development was probably one of the most innovative places. The pressure and effectiveness in this room was high and I really appreciated the kick start it gave me.
(Read Marc article here).
Themes around Lean Startup/Product Owner/UX were close to my current concerns and I really appreciated these sessions/discussions. The consensus about the role of product managers in the agile world, the principles and his skills, was a key point.

The conversation with my xALEc friends, the football match with the Madrid&Bacelona fans and all the meals with all these pleasant people were a real great start to my holidays in Barcelona.

Thanks everyone for your these pleasant days.

On the 26th of April 2012, Mix-IT 2012 took place in Lyon. This second edition was handled by the same team as the first. As the internal organisation had matured, the team was more relaxed and the pressure only soared in the last days before the conference.

The following paragraphs concern my own feelings and what I learned. This is not the Mix-IT team view, which is available on the Mix-IT web site.

Organising an IT conference is a pleasant exercise, mainly due to the rewards of meeting passionate people and skilled speakers.
Hereafter, find a list of points to address when you want to launch a conference and my current opinion related to Mix-IT.

Defined goals: If you just launched an event without goals in mind, being consistent in the organisation would be hard. Choices would be difficult to make and would lead to long hours of unproductive discussion.

For me, the Mix-IT goals are:
The entry price must be affordable to every IT guy. Even an unemployed person should be able to afford it from her own money. This year the price was âŹ30.
All talks and games must be of a high quality. It doesnât mean the speakers need to be famous, but they do need to be good.

Differentiation: More and more events for passionate people will be launched. Your brand must be understood. Is it fun, traditional, for local people, big and international, for experts?

For me, what makes Mix-IT different is:
A diverse content mixed with a desire to create information technology that works NOW.
The conference experience of a participant should open her/his mind to new knowledge and also help her/him to improve others.
Both genders make it happen.
Participantsâ conversations and meetings should improve the effectiveness of communities.

Commitment of Organisation team: If your conference is organised only by volunteers, you need to define roles. Make sure the quality of your event wonât suffer from a dysfunctional team. Trust is mandatory. Having the guts to say what the organisation principles are, is probably the best way to avoid conflict.

For me, the Mix-IT is organised:
By self organisation, where the main principle is commitment to users.
By each organiser making sure the task she/he agreed to perform is done. Done means: Conference users will at least not complain about it after the event.
e. g. an organiser in charge of a task makes sure it is completed before the conference and is still concerned about it during the conference.

Focus on quality: You should define what quality is from your point of view, and stick to it.

For me, a quality Mix-IT is:
a focus on participant well-being,
e. g.
Participants should find water and coffee all day long. Toilets must be clean. Everything must flow.
Visual signs and boards are mandatory: e. g. Programs are displayed everywhere.

Speakers are the essence:
Speakers are the key to the whole. Whether you invited them or they proposed a session during the âCall for paperâ, you must pay huge attention to them all, before, during and after the conference.

For me, at Mix-IT we did the following:
We made sure their hotels and the travel were booked one week before the conference.
We asked for the material they needed for the conference,
We picked up foreign speakers at the airport,
We invited them for a dinner the night before the conference (The food was average, but it was nice to share with them),
We invited them to the closing social event after the conference.

Do not forget the sponsors:
Sponsors also deserve particular attention. Make sure they can communicate with the participants as they expected.

Self improvement:
Make sure you get something out of the conference.
Before writing the previous content, I went back to last yearâs post and I realised, the team met in december 2010.

My own pleasures were:
Team work without conflict,
Exchanging and listening to the speakers during dinners with them,
Learning during the talks and games
Meeting a lot of passionate people

xALEc is an ALE online open space using Google Hangouts every Monday 9:30 pm CET.

Adrian, (@adibolb), Jaumes (@JaumeJornet ) and I had the first xALEc session on December 12th, 2011.
The session was like a physical open space session: a great conversation, not focusing precisely on the proposed subject. We collected a few tips and answers to questions we hadnât asked ourselves before the beginning of the session.

So it works, and please find below some remarks and a few improvements to consider for the next ones.

Twitter is the best place for sharing links before the sessions using the #xALEc tag.

Sessions can be proposed anytime during the day.

The session starts at 9:30 pm.

Leaders may prefer to open the Google Hangout with extras, 5 minutes before the session,

The language barrier will broken after 5 minutes of conversation (enjoy each accent). We are not there to speak English but to improve our Agile/Lean knowledge.

Yes, talking directly online to someone, you have never met is not always easy. But, donât be shy, we are all beginners at this.

It is better to share something visual like a drawing.

Avoid sharing too much text and too many links, because attendees will read it and not participate.

Leaders must make sure the visual document is shared with all attendees at the beginning of the session.

The session should consist of an introduction and an activity on the shared document: e.g. select some parts of the drawing to emphasise the explanation.

The rules of the Open space will be applied. Well, your two feet could be replaced by your finger on your mouse.

I shared publicly the xALEc Google Hangouts circle. Please tweet me, @FranckDepierre or use Google+, if you want to join.

Last week, I talked with Olaf and Marcin about the possibility of meeting ALE guys online and sharing ideas and problems. But how could it be done?

Using Internet communication tools for group conversations became a common practice a few years ago. Skype has been mainstream for this purpose for years. Due to its paid video offer for groups, only the voice system is really used.
Google has proposed its Hangout system for a few months with a free video offer for groups. The availability of this function allows everybody to think about free group meetings online. Also, the facilities to use Google Documents in the hangout, provides a full online collaboration framework. Still to come, Google promised, a streaming facility for the people who want to listen to a conversation (on air).

The open space format is finding more and more advocates in a wide range of communities and contexts.
Future conferences will be more a mixture of different flavours. A flexible format, driven by the participants combining traditional sessions, open space, games and social exercises, all planned late or on site. The maturity of the attendees is soaring and soon organisers will probably have to think differently, because the participants will ask to have more power.

Anyway, we cannot attend hundreds of conferences a year, but we can build ways to feed our desire to progress.

So:

Imagine, you are at home and you have a little bit of energy to talk about a problem you faced the previous week. It would be nice to broadcast a message and to find friends to exchange with. But people are booked all the time, except maybe Monday night. Also, you would prefer a time boxed exercise, programmed when children are in bed and your stomach is well fed.

Imagine, you are in a hotel, a little bit tired, and you donât want to spend too much time reading articles, but instead having a short sharing session about last weekâs trends

Imagine, anything that you can propose to your community as a 30 minute subject, that anybody can participate in.

Draft for xALEc

xALEc will start every Monday from the 12th December, at 9:30-10:00 pm CET. Anybody can propose a subject she/he will lead, using the twitter hashtag #XALEC. The proposal can be made anytime on Monday.
If some people agree to participate in this session, its leader will open âa Google Hangout with extrasâ and invite the Google+ xALEc circle.

It would be nice if the leader started the session by sharing a drawing, a document, his screen or any other media.

I started to share the xALEc circle, so please tweet me, @FranckDepierre, if you want to join.

The rules of the Open space will be applied.
Well, your two feet could be replaced by your finger on your mouse.Franck Depierrehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06446926577853523891noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7965683998976198186.post-22618020725700878012011-11-27T16:08:00.000+01:002013-07-22T14:32:18.862+02:00Today, speed is the user interface referenceA few days ago, a friend of mine complained about the lack of speed of his productsâ user interfaces.
Like many of us, he chose to build his user interface using an abstraction software framework. One year later, his productsâ web pages are too heavy and his customers complain.

It would have been nice not to live in a world where the top Internet giants focus continuously on speed. Without these companies, one second to return the result of a web page would be the norm and browsing would be a peaceful activity.
While today, web pages are displayed in less than the blink of an eye (0,2-0,3 second), many desktop applications still seem incredibly sluggish.

When you look at the data presented by Stoyan Stefanov at Velocity, you would understand 2-3 seconds to load a view is still acceptable, if the user is working only with your application.

But, today most users are browsing and searching while using applications at work.
If you listen to Marissa Mayer at Velocity, you will understand that in an experiment where the search results were delayed of 400 millisecond, visitor loyalty slightly dropped.

So in an environment where the reference search tools display results in less than 0.5 seconds, you should really consider it as the reference. The user experience is not only about the perception of speed in your application but also by comparison with others.

You can also consider Jakob Nielsen's 10 Usability Heuristics for Interface Design to think about good design pratices.
The "Read bead experiment" was created by Dr. Edward Deming and aim to demonstrate the ineffectiveness (sometimes effectiveness) of the various management methods.
At the end of the experiment, a statistical
graphical tool is used to analyse the experiment's results.
By following this exercise, you will understand that actions taken by the people playing the managers are detrimental to the employees, but after the analyses are shown to have no impact on the efficiency of the process .
The conclusion proposes ways to properly use performance data in a quality environment in order to achieve continual improvement.
The several videos by Fluor Hanford (Steve Prevette) posted below, will help you to understand what is really important in a process.
Meet the company with its "willing workers", quality control personnel, a data recorder, and a foreman. All wish to produce white beads using a 50 holed paddle, but unfortunately there are bad quality red beads.
If you are in a hurry, go directly to part5, minute 2:40 of the video to watch the conclusion of the experiment.

During the ALE2011 unconference, a few of us spoke about local communities and ways to improve them through the ALE network.

Hereafter, I tell you about what we are doing in Lyon this year and then ask you how we can share tips and get speakers to come here.

What we used to do
When we started having monthly meetings two seasons ago, we tried to produce slide-shows by ourselves or we took them from the Internet. Then, we presented them to the small group of attendees.
We really understood we were missing interaction with people and also that the core volunteers were getting tired.

The second year, we mixed games and conferences in different ways. But even though the sessions were improving, we were struggling to satisfy all attendees. Beginners felt the sessions were too high-level, and others were expecting more expertise or a different format.

While writing these lines, I feel like we still miss something. Although we want to spread the best AGILE/LEAN practices to our area,, we have to encourage attendees not to act like consumers. Anyway, this year our new model will shake up this mindset.. At least, I hope so.

What we plan this year
This year, the core team is stronger and we had some interesting feedback from a wider range of people.

Apart from the conference we organise with the local JUG team (Mix-IT), we plan to have two types of sessions:

Running thread: For beginners and people who want to improve their skills, we have a full season, running thread session, from the product vision (product box innovation games), to the âDone and Deployed phaseâ. Organising linked sessions may be seen as a V step model to explain agile, but we havenât found something else yet except to focus on one category of knowledge in each session.

The full year running thread session:

Define your product vision

Elaborate your backlog

Lean and prioritize your backlog

Planning and estimation

Daily meeting and self-organisation

Definition of done

Retrospective

Others methodologies and tools

As Iâm writing these lines, the second session is over. 33 people met there to play games, learn and share. So, compared with the format of previous sessions, a running thread seems to have more permanent adepts, but we still have a small turnover between sessions.

Expert conference
There is nothing new here, but we aim to have experts to come and speak here for an end of day or Saturday session.
We havenât defined the format yet, or the type of activities.
Thatâs where we need help and tips from you.

Please help us improve our skills
Iâm asking ALE network today, because this is my community, but everyone can answer and share.
We found a format this year with the running thread where people learn, share and play games. How could we add an additional session every 3 months, that provides content to people with already a good knowledge.

Do you have small conferences, like this one?
If you have a talk ready to be launched, do you think it could be the place to test it?
Are you going Skiing in France this winter? Could you stop to give your talk while travelling to this destination?
Are you interested in visiting Lyon? If so we can help you come here and talk?
Any others suggestions?
